Minton Sparks
In a town filled with singer-songwriters, Minton Sparks tends to define herself as a speaker-songwriter. She writes poems and stories, and delivers stage shows that marry storytelling and music (she’s backed by former Bob Dylan guitarist John Jackson).
“If (Sparks) is not the ghost child of Flannery O’Connor and Hank Williams, then cotton doesn’t grow in a cotton field,” said songwriter and author Marshall Chapman.
Sparks’ latest album is Live at the Station Inn, and she returns to the Inn on Tuesday, Nov. 2 for a 9:30 p.m. show.
